The Foundations Bundle
So you’re looking to build up your drawing skills?
Well, you’ve come to the right place! This Bundle is entirely focused on developing your fundamental drawing skills that will later expand into more imaginative realms — comics, animation, illustration, gaming conept art, and more. Over time we’ve learned that many of our students want to run before they can walk, artistically speaking, and that it is instead better to focus on developing your confidence with critical skills to encourage understanding of the forms you’re drawing first.
These skills are also not commonly taught thoroughly in high-school level education, so we have decided to create a comprehensive learning pathway that enables you to learn these skills and also have a ton of fun while doing so.
This bundle is available in three different versions:
Version 1 / Base version - A good starter set of courses for those who are just beginning their learning with us.
Drawing I: Observational Sketching (4 week course - 1 hour review sessions)
Perspective I: Introduction (4 week course - 1 hour review sessions)
Perspective II: Advanced (4 week course - 1 hour review sessions)
Figure Drawing & Anatomy (8 week course - 1 hour review sessions)
Personal Mentorship (8 sessions - 1 hour review sessions)
Textbook: Framed Perspective vol.I by Marcos Mateu-Mestre (a great book on perspective drawing)
Textbook: Classic Human Anatomy by Valerie L. Winslow (Sheridan College's current anatomy textbook)
A pass to the 2024 - 2025 Complete Animation Guest Lecture Series
Total one-on-one live feedback sessions: 28 1-hour sessions
Version 2 - This version of the bundle is upgraded with two extra foundational 4-week courses. The first is tailored to develop drawing in perspective; this skill is typically under-developed in every student. The second 4-week course we’ve added helps students complete the sketchbook portion of their personal work, which is a critically important feature of any high-scoring portfolio. This version adds on…
Drawing I: Observational Sketching (4 week course - 1 hour review sessions)
Perspective I: Introduction (4 week course - 1 hour review sessions)
Version 3 - This is the uber version of the Sheridan bundle! This bundle builds on Version 2, by adding an extra 4-week course. This extra course will help students broaden their artistic mediums used throughout their personal work. This extra course teaches conté, ink and brush, as well as gouache paint. These are great traditional skills to showcase a more-than-just-digital artistic practice! The real showstopper with this version is the Extensive Sheridan Portfolio Review. In this review we thoroughly assess a student’s entire Sheridan animation portfolio across 2 hours, grade it using Sheridan’s rubric, and suggest ways to improve the score. The portfolio is then sent to two of our past successful students that are currently attending Sheridan College for them to review as well. Oh, and we also throw in none other than the Animator’s Survival Kit by Richard Williams, a classic animation workbook. This bundle adds…
Drawing II: Rendering Methods (4 week course - 1 hour review sessions)
Textbook: The Animator’s Survival Kit by Richard Williams

This is our most frequently asked question, and our answer is always: we cannot guarantee anything, but what we can do is:
give you consistent feedback on your artwork
keep your work schedule on track
give you a sense of accountability
answer any questions you have along the way
give you an accurate sense of what is expected of you as a candidate to be accepted
encourage you to meet our fellow students, who you might eventually be friends with in the program!
We also don't make guarantees because you are the critical ingredient in this equation. Do you do the assigned work on time? Do you ask questions? Do you show up with more than asked? Etc.
Your passion, and your hard-work are what guarantee you opportunities in life. 😊

It is very hard to do this!
Since you book directly on our Calendar using a link, you can choose a time that works for you. You also have ample opportunity to reschedule if your schedule changes (this is especially valuable for anyone enrolled in extra curricular activities in high-school).
As long as you cancel or reschedule a booking 24 hours in advance, it's fine by us to reschedule as frequently as you need. You may reschedule each session up to 3 times. This is very flexible!
